Kari-Ann Hubbard was raised in Miami, Florida and is one of five children.  She grew up loving ocean life, dancing and incessant reading and spending time with her large family. One of her nicknames was “Granny” always helping, nurturing and caring for others.

Her journey to mind-body medicine and healing started at the young age of eleven when she was diagnosed with IBS.  This left her feeling isolated and led to “just deal with it”. The conventional model of medical tests, medication, and feeling confused about diet, she felt helpless.

After over 10 years of dealing with her GI issues, she had the realization that maybe her emotional well being influenced her body.  She dug into the emotional triggers and made lifestyle modifications and now rarely has symptoms of IBS. The impact of her transformation inspired her to help others.

Within this time frame she experienced grief and loss of loved ones.  Seeing loved ones suffer taught her to create space for emotional healing, to try not to fix others while, but to allow space for them to grieve and find their resolutions that meet them where they are currently.  Her lessons to move through emotions and not get stuck in it is a main teaching. This too, showed her that emotional wellness is a journey and that everything we do in life manifests in our wellbeing.

These experiences also affirmed that there was more to healing than just medications and surgery. Overhearing her grandfather mention to seek treatment in China for her loved ones resonated with her. There was another way.  Wanting to help others feel well she decided to pursue her Master’s degree acupuncture and herbology.

Her mission is to help others tap into their own natural healing capabilities by supporting them through acupuncture, herbs and lifestyle counseling. She believes our bodies clearly reflect internal imbalances and that the mind-body connection has a powerful impact on our quality of living.

Kari-Ann lives in Chandler, Az and has been practicing since 2012. Married and has three boys – she enjoys about supporting other families in preparing for postpartum and redefining that self-care is an important cornerstone to mental and physical health. Outside of the clinic, she loves dance, reading the stack of books by her bed and soaking up the sunshine (preferably by the ocean).
